Carrie McCulloch, MD, RYT
Carrie McCullock, MD
, RYT is co-founder and Medical Director of Kinected, an integrative Pilates center in New York City. She received her MD with distinction in research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and her BS in Journalism from Northwestern University. Carrie is a proponent of headstands and flipping backwards concepts, like the dictionary definition of health. Instead of “living without disease,” Carrie helps patients and students live in sync—with their bodies and the world around them. She is inspired by simple yet powerful choices we encounter everyday, like the food we eat and the way we move. Along with her medical training, she completed her mat and equipment certification with STOTT Pilates and recently finished her 200-hr YTT with Liz Schulman. Her classes are strong and empowering, combining a precise understanding of the body with transformative and mindful movement. She has been featured in national publications such as Vogue and Marie Claire as well as peer-reviewed academic journals. Her latest book Netter’s Moving AnatoME: An Interactive Guide to Musculoskeletal Anatomy releases in 2019. Additionally, she is cofounder of the Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries (FAMI) Workshop, an internationally-renowned anatomy course for fitness professionals held in a medical school setting. Carrie is grateful to do what she loves and, above all, for her two energetic boys who keep her forever in motion.
