- Choose your bananas wisely. The riper your bananas are the less added sugar will be needed in the recipe.
- Have vegan butter or oil in hand and if you want to skip the fats all together apple sauce is a great alternative
- DO NOT OVERMIX it may cause your banana bread batter to not rise properly
Ingredients:
- 3-4 Ripe Bananas
- ¼ cup of Vegan Butter or Oil
- 2 cups of All Purpose Wheat Flour
- ½ cup of Dairy Free Milk
- 1 tsp of Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
Additional Ingredients:
- Toppings
- Chocolate Chips
- Cinnamon
- Walnuts
- Pecans
- Almonds
- Rolled oats
- Sunflower seeds
- Anything you want
- Sugar
- ⅓ cup or add as much as you see fit if you feel like your bananas are not sweet enough
How to make your banana bread
- Mash your bananas in a mixing bowl then add the remaining wet ingredients to the mixture then add the rest of the dry ingredients. Mix well but do not overmix. The batter will be thick with clumps so do not fret.
- Pour the batter in a 9 x 5 loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes. Use the toothpick method to make sure it is baked thoroughly.
- Let the banana bread cool on the counter and you are ready to serve!
