No-Fumble Apple Crumble

You’ve gone apple picking and come home with a bag full of crunchy, sweet fall fruit. A simple apple crumble is one of the many ways to enjoy them!

(You can peel apples for texture, but will lose vitamins and fiber.)


  • 1/2 cup organic walnuts
  • 1/4 cup steel cut oats
  • 5 pitted dates, chopped
  • 6 apples, diced and separated
  • 3 tablespoons fresh organic lemon juice, separated
  • 1/3 cup organic raisins
  • 1/4 tspn cinnamon
  • 1/4 tspn ground nutmeg


  1. For filling: Mix 4 of the diced apples with 1 tbspn lemon juice.
  2. Blend 2 remaining diced apples, remaining 2 tbspns lemon juice,  dates, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg in a food processor. Toss with the filling.
  3. Blend walnuts and oats in food processor, and sprinkle over apple mixture.
