As February comes to a close, we're wrapping it up with one more heart healthy recipe. This week's grapefruit turmeric Carrot Kick smoothie includes heart healthy carrots and seasonal grapefruit! Carrots are particularly great for your heart because they are rich in vitamin A, antioxidants and nutrients.Â
Ingredients:Â
- Organic grapefruit (peeled or juiced - depending on your pulp preference)Â
- 8 oz organic, cold-pressed Carrot Kick by Living Juice
- 1/2 cup organic spinachÂ
- 1 inch of organic turmeric root, diced
Recipe:Â
- Depending on your pulp preference, either peel and quarter your grapefruit or juice the grapefruit (for no pulp).Â
- Combine grapefruit or grapefruit juice, spinach, Carrot Kick and turmeric in blender.Â
- Blend until desired consistency is met. If you prefer a cold smoothie, add ice and blend!
