Everyone loves Rice Krispie treats, especially during the holidays! This recipe, inspired by the Fettle Vegan, is a great vegan version of a kid favorite, with an elevated twist (hint: it's apple pie!). A bonus to this dessert, it's gluten-free!
6 Cups Crisped Rice Cereal
1-10 oz. bag Marshmallows
3 tablespoons Vegan Butter (Earth Balance works great)
1 cup Organic Dried Applies
1 cup Vegan White Chocolate Chips
Ground Cinnamon for dusting
1. Combine marshmallows and butter in a large microwave safe bowl. Melt together on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute.
2. Add crisped rice cereal, dried apples, and white chocolate chips. Mix together until evenly combined.
3. Evenly distribute the mixture into a foil or wax paper lined 13"x9" pan.
4. Dust with cinnamon!
5. Cool for at least one hour before cutting into squares. Dust with more cinnamon if you like and enjoy!
